BOMBERS MAKE TURNER BLUES, BLACK AND BLUE!!!
By Tom Pydeski

The Bombers juggernaut rolled along Friday night in
prime fashion, winning their third consecutive game by demolishing the Turner
Blues 34-3. Almost everyone on the team had a multihit game and everyone
scored at least once.
Leading the batting barrage was Coach Craig "Scooter"
Ross, who went 3 for 4 with an astounding 6 RBI's, and Jonathan Kennen, who
smacked a pair of monstrous home runs while driving in 4. Chris MadDog
Ruggiero continued his torrid hitting with a 3-4 game and also crushed a long
home run.
The Bombers blew it open in the 3rd inning, sending 21
to the plate in a "Beer Frame" in which everybody scored except Jeff
Schneider, building a 24 to 2 lead.
They batted around again in the 4th inning, scoring an
additional 10 runs. Craig Ross and Jeff Schneider combined to hold the Blues
to only 3 runs in the Mercy Rule shortened 5 inning game. The game was so
lopsided, that the Bombers forfeited their 5th inning at bat, in essence
giving the blues 6 outs in a row. This unusual step was taken since a game
cannot end until after the 5th and with an 8:00 game on deck, the Bombers were
in a time crunch.
The only downside to an otherwise flawless evening was
the news that left fielder Roy Horowitz was experiencing discomfort in one of
his "bionic" knees. We can only hope that this is a temporary setback for the
team's Senior member.
