- On Sep, 30, Lions Dist 16B assisted at the Marie Katzenback School for the Deaf (MKSD). The Hightstown East Windsor Lions
Club took the lead, and planned and procured the supplies for the luncheon. Representatives from about a dozen Lions Clubs
came to assist. The Lakehurst Lions Club was providing the largest support. Volunters (Lions and Lions Friends) helped run games
for children and to assist in the preparation and food service. MKSD were grateful for the support, and the MKSD staff, older students
and parents made the games and entire day a lot of fun for the students. Visit the Event Section or click view Picnic Photos taken during the day.
- Oct. 11, 2007 was designated by LCI as Lions World Site Day. Lions World Sight Day was created in 1998 to spotlight the importance of eradicating preventable blindness and improving sight.
An increasing number of Lions clubs are using this occasion to collect eyeglasses, conduct vision and diabetes screenings and
plan educational programs to inform their communities about the importance of sight and diseases such as diabetes that can impact sight.
- Oct. 13, 2007 was the NJ Library for the Blind and Handicapped Fall Festival. Three Lions from WW Lions Club
supported this event. The program included vendors, Sculpture Gardens sponsored artists, Pet Farm displays and guest
student performers which thrilled the audience with their talents in the fields of art, music and sculpture.
- Oct. 16, 2007 was the deadline for Lions Clubs to participate in the LCI Peace Poster Contest.

- On Oct. 20, 2007 All Lions and friends are invited to an 7th Open House sponsored by the Lions Eye Research Foundation
