Directions to the Plainsboro Duplicate Bridge Club Meetings
Location
The Club meets in the Plainsboro Community Center, Room A, which is part of the municipal complex, above the Plainsboro Police station, at 641 Plainsboro Road. Links to maps can be found lower on the page
From Princeton or US 1
From Princeton, or anywhere along US Route 1, Take Scudders Mill Road toward Plainsboro. Go to the fifth traffic light from Route. 1, which is Dey Road. Turn right onto Dey Road. Immediately (within 100 feet) turn left, off Dey Road and into the Plainsboro Municipal Complex.
(Going down Scudders Mill Road from the direction of Route 1, if you reach the intersection of Scudders Mill Road and Plainsboro Road, where there is a traffic light, you have passed the Complex and gone too far. Turn right onto Plainsboro Road, and enter the complex from Plainsboro Road.)
Park on the left, near the police station, enter and go up the stairs to Community Room A, we'll be there! Alternatively, once inside the Municipal Complex circle to the right past the library, and park near the flag pole. The community center will be on your right, with the Library on your left. Enter the building on your right and we'll be there, that's Community Room A.
(For those watching for landmarks: from Route 1 to Dey Road is about 2.5 miles, passing the railroad overpass and the post office, and going straight through the intersection and traffic light at Schalks Crossing Road just after the overpass Dey Road is the next light after Schalks Crossing Road. )
From the north on NJ 130
If you are coming from the north along NJ Route 130, turn right on Dey Road. Follow Dey Road for about four miles or a bit more. Cross Scudders Mill Road at a traffic light. (Queenship of Mary Catholic Church will be ahead on your right.) Immediately (within 100 feet) turn left, off Dey Road and into the Plainsboro Municipal Complex. Park as described above.
(From the south along 130, the turn is a bit more than a half-mile after you pass Broadway Road on your right.)
(For those watching for landmarks: along Dey Road you will pass Ekar Road on the right, and cross Scotts Corner Road at a traffic light. You will then pass Pheasant Hollow Drive on the left, followed by Wyndhurst Drive shortly before you come to Scudders Mill Road.)
(Travelling along Dey Road from the direction of Route 130, If you reach the intersection with Plainsboro Road, you have gone too far. Turn left on Plainsboro Road, and the complex will be on your left. Be very careful turning left onto Plainsboro Road from Dey Road -- this is a very dangerous corner.)
From Cranbury
From Cranbury, take Plainsboro Road (County route 614) toward Plainsboro, about 4 miles. When coming from the south on NJ Route 130 , you will turn left on Maplewood Ave (County 535), to get to Plainsboro Road.
(From the south along 130, the turn is a bit less than a half-mile after you pass Station Road. In Cranbury, Plainsboro Road meets N. Main St. at a traffic light. Turn toward Plainsboro, which means away from Route 130. )
While driving along Plainsboro Road, you will pass the Princeton Meadows shopping center on your left. At the second traffic light after the shopping center, Dey Road, turn left, and turn left again almost at once into the Plainsboro Municipal Complex. Follow directions above for parking and getting to our meeting place: Community Room A.
(Travelling along Plainsboro road from the direction of Route 130, If you reach the intersection of Scudders Mill Road and Schalks Crossing Road, with the post office on your left, you have gone too far; turn back! If you reach the intersection of Plainsboro Road and Schalks Crossing Road, with the PNC Bank ahead on your right, you have missed a turn and gone too far. Turn right on Schalks Crossing Road, and right at the next light onto Scudders Mill Road, then make a third right at the next light onto Dey Road, then turn left into the Municipal Complex almost at once.)
Maps
Note that the maps show the X at the entrance to the complex from Plainsboro Road, as that is the legal address of the complex. The complex actually fills most of the triangle between Dey Road, Plainsboro Road, and Scudder's Mill Road. The complex includes the Plainsboro Library, the Rescue Squad, the Police Station, the Courtroom, and the Community Center (on the floor above the police station), where we meet.
