West Windsor's Modern Facility for Services and Programs

West Windsor Township provides the funding, facility and staff for the Senior Center. The Center activities and operation are under the guidance of the Center Director, Lynn Thornton.

Drop by the Center any weekday after 8:30 AM when programs are scheduled and meet the groups and enjoy the program. You do not have to be a member of FoWWS to participate in the activities at West Windsor's Senior Center.

If you are a senior over age 55 and a resident of West Windsor, you can participate in all programs; residents of other Townships will be requested to pay for enrollment in a program. Certain activities have nominal fees to cover the cost of instruction and materials.

You are welcome you to join the meetings and activities, we need your ideas; diversity of opinions and background keeps these program vigorous and interesting!

Each month, the Center staff prepares a 12 page pamphlet to mail to the Seniors enrolled with the Center. You'll receive the pamphlet near the end of the month; it's chock full of information on the programs, trips, service opportunitiies and news of interest to seniors. It outlines planned activities including luncheons, movies, games, clubs, lectures and a variety of training programs in dance, health techniques, language, arts, crafts and computer operations. You can read the pamphlet online by visiting the WWSC site and selecting Senior News, see the web link below.

The Center programs are the result of a dedicated staff and the participation of the many residents in the over 24 different activities. Several of the programs were proposed by a resident and were adopted by the Center, because other members enrolled and interest grew and the programs have continued to develop.

FoWWSC holds meetings and some events at the WW Senior Center. FoWWSC officers maintain close liaison with the Center Director, who attends most of the FoWWSC meetings and provides administrative services to support the FoWWSC operations. FoWWSC provides modest funds to support activities of the Senior Center, and donates items as the need is indicated. As participants in these groups, you may see needs that FoWWSC should evaluate.
