An Overview of FoWWSC

Mission:

Fund items for program enrichment proposed by the WWSC Advisory Council and the Center Director as approved by the executive board of the FoWWSC.

FoWWSC has installed a Suggestion Box in the WWSC to gather resident ideas.

Maintain a process to evaluate opportunities to enrich senior activities.

Methods:

Promote membership drives of residents in the West Windsor Senior participation.

Conduct fund raising events to introduce residents and businesses to FoWWSC potential.

Funding:

Collection of annual membership dues to support the activities of the organization.

Sponsor fund raising events which are of interest to the community and seniors alike.

Review and process opportunities for grants to support activities.

Solicit and process donations obtained by contribution, bequest, in honor of, and memorium..

Seek corporate participation and donations of services, funds, or equipment to meet the mission goals.

Operations:

WWSC Director is liaison for Township to senior citizen groups.

WWSC Director contacts FoWWSC board to deliberate upon a particular issues and projects.

FoWWSC will brief Township entities and community groups on our mission and activities.

The Board meets informally monthly to monitor and discuss status and opportunities.

The Programs Committee and Board will meet periodically to coordinate events status with the Treasurer.

FoWWSC meets annually for officer installation and to receive the annual Treasurer's report.

Projects, Community Event, and and Fund Raising coordination meetings are called as required.

Members encouraged to offer suggestions or comments to foster FoWWSC's Mission.

Communications:

FoWWSC publishes an insert in the WWSC Monthly Bulletin mailed to residents.

FoWWSC maintains this website for community and member communication.
It contains an event calendar for coordination meetings and events notices to the community.

FoWWSC will send letters to residents upon special occasions.

Please discuss your concern or proposal directly with FoWWSC Board or Center Staff or Center participants group leaders.

FoWWSC coordinates with local newspapers to feature articles on FoWWSC activities.

FoWWSC will publicize the fund raising events and major contributions in local newspapers.
