SNOW IN MARCH

Snow has overstayed its welcome.
It's pretty, but it's STILL THERE.
I've used up my store of genuine rapture
about this wintry wonderland.

Doesn't snow know
it's time to go?

Doesn't it know Spring's due this month,
Winter's late for its date below the Equator?
But wait, is that the chirp of a bird
I just heard? My heart leaps with hope!

I've had it with snow.
PLEASE go!
